With 38 years of experience in the tree surgery business, DL Corran offer a quality service which is second to none. Our dedicated team of tree surgeons pride themselves on undertaking a wide range of tree care services throughout the South Wales borders region, and improve their skills and knowledge of every aspect of tree surgery on a regular basis.
Currently working for a number of County Councils and public bodies including; Newport City Council, Cadw, the Environment Agency, British Waterways, Powys (Brecon and Crickowell) CC, Powys Highways, Gwent County and a National Park.
This work includes the whole range of tree surgery services; Including reshaping, crown thinning & reduction, root pruning, stump grinding, tree surgery reports and planting, as well as specialist techniques in the removal of dangerously situated trees.
Health & Safety
We have recently undergone an exhaustive verification by Achilles utility group (verification agency) www.achilles.com.
Five members of our tree surgery team hold NPTC certificates of competence in use of chainsaws and four members also have relevant certificates for use of a chainsaw whilst in a tree, as well as tree climbing safety procedures. Staff are regularly briefed on safety standards. Three members of staff hold a First Aid work certificate. Our tree surgery equipment such as climbing gear and chainsaws is improved or updated regularly and we take pride in working safely. Two members of our tree surgeons team are qualified up to chapter 8 traffic management. We are regularly updating our LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) certificate and carry public liability insurance to the value of £5,000,000 on which we have never had a claim.
